Cabonne Council become major sponsor of the Australian National Field Days

The Australian National Field Days (ANFD) are celebrating 70 years this year since hosting their first ever Field Day in 1952, where it was only a one-day event.
Over the years there have been many changes and the ANFD continues to go from strength to strength.
“We are committed to advancing Australian agriculture and we’re always looking for new and innovative ways to do that. A big key to this year’s event is our partnership with Cabonne Council” said Chairman Sam Connell.
“We are excited to announce Cabonne Council as our official partner for the first time. They have been very supportive over previous years, but this cements our partnership of running the biggest event in the Cabonne Council area” said Sam

“We have also worked hard to ensure our event has wide appeal and can be enjoyed by the entire farm family. This also helps draw visitors who may not come from a farming background, but who can share in all the fantastic educational opportunities we provide and become advocates for the rural sector,” said Sam.

Earlier this month Council committed to sponsoring the Australian National Field Days to a value of $20,000 in 2021. The aim of Council’s Sponsorship Program is to deliver benefit to the Cabonne community and economy by partnering with a range of strong and engaging events.

“Council is proud to be sponsoring the 2021 Australian National Field Days. Council has been fortunate enough to sponsor the Field Days since 2009, this year being a major sponsor for the event. We look forward to working with the Australian National Field Days committee to be able to showcase the fantastic area we live in,” said Cabonne Mayor Kevin Beatty.

The Australian National Field Days is a key event in the calendar for Cabonne. With the region having a strong agricultural background, the Field Days are a not only a highlight for locals, but also bring many visitors to the area, underpinning Calonne’s rich and diverse offerings.

“2020 was a tough year for all events and Field Days. This funding will help ensure we can continue to return bigger and better than ever for our local communities.” said Field Days Manager Jayne West

“We are very pleased with the number of exhibitors booking sites and the number of new companies keen to display with us for the first time. With the spring around the corner and some welcome rain, the ANFD site is a picture with grassed sites, sealed roads, permanent facilities and a wide range of catering facilities”.

A main component of the annual event is to promote and inform the public of the importance of agriculture, especially in this area.

The Australian National Field Days will be held from Thursday 21 to Saturday 23 October 2021, at 563 Borenore Road, Borenore. Gates will open at 8.30am and close at 5pm over the three days
